HIPAA requires that passwords be changed frequently, with best practice being every 90 days. For most health systems, this is simply impractical. The way around this is to add strong authentication, most often some form of biometric. Trustable Passwords is a biometric and meets HIPAA requirements. This means, you never have to change your passwords again. Further, passwords do not have to be cryptic. Instead, passwords can be easy to remember. This is good news for users, and results in a reduction in help desk calls, saving money, while also protecting critical systems by limiting access to only authorized users, and authenticating that each one is who they claim to be.

With Trustable Passwords, even if a password is guessed or otherwise known it cannot be used. If fact, Trustable Passwords will recognize an unauthorized use of a real password, which makes immediate corrective or remediative action possible. In these cases, the password can be changed and a new Trustable Password generated with no risk to the organization.

Trustable Passwords is a perfect mate for Single-Sign-On systems. We presently integrate with Vergence Authenticator from Sentillion and eTrust SSO from Computer Associates. If you have one of these, great. If not, we build SSO integrations as a part of overall customer delivery and we will discuss supporting the system or systems you do have. In addition, Trustable Passwords supports Windows logon, Windows network logon, Windows local logon, and web access control, as well as, Citrix, Juniper Networks' Netscreen SSL VPN environments.
